Message and comments: Hello! I lost my engagement ring (platinum) in my backyard the evening of May 28th. I've purchased a metal detector and done a sweep of the area myself, but very quickly realized this is quite a bit more nuanced than I expected. I'd be greatly appreciative if anyone in the club would be willing to help.

Mitch's Result: Success!
She had bought a detector and tried briefly with no success. The ring was about 20 feet from where she thought, but in a different direction. She had gridded the yard with string which made for easy tracking of where I had been.
